He might pick up a few votes. Wavy's got a big heart, and that's certainly missing in the Republican party.

Almost a friend of mine. (he at least knows me as "Photo guy" or "Fish guy", depending on his memory...)

Wavy's work with SEVA foundation is amazing. probably did more for people than Congress ever has in their history. http://www.seva.org/site/PageServer

100's of thousands of people can see now thanks to Wavy Gravy.

A lot of people never took the brown acid thanks to Wavy Gravy.

About three years ago I was up at Wavy's Black Oak Ranch for a show and was hanging out backstage. We had out own little enclave back there and we were all partying furiously. This lady comes up, a bit older than I was and satrts telling her story. All hippied out, smoking fatty's like they were ..well fatties.....

She said she had started living there a year ago that week....

Lived her whole life in suburbia, four kids, home mortgage etc. Kids graduated college, hubby dumps her, blah blah blah. Quite the tale of woe.

Said until a year before, she had never even heard one note of the Grateful dead's music. Was not a hippie, didn't like hippies...And definitely thought pot was the devils weed. Straight laced suburban Mom.

Said she lost everything, ( A stay at home Mom who had NO job skillz) and was hitchhiking past the Black Oak ranch on Highway 101. No direction, no nothing. Earthdance was going on and she felt compelled to go in and see what it was all about. Somehow things started falling her eay, she got in and got into the middle of the pudding and ended up meeting Wavy and his wife Jaharana, ( who used to be Bob Dylans girl back int he Village daze).

She never left. She smokes big fattys and does yoga. And listens to a LOT of Grateful Dead music. She will peobably spend the rest of her days doing whatever she does up there with a big smile on her face.

I love Wavy Gravy.

At least what used to be what was a Democrat. Being of service to people.

Let's also not forget Camp Winnarainbow the performing arts camp at his ranch for ids and adults. For every paid tuition one kid from a poor situation goes for free. (you can donate to send a poor kid to camp here): http://www.campwinnarainbow.org/

I'm thinking that this poster, an equally large Obama poster, and a third sign saying "you choose", would be a pretty effective statement, if you're willing to give up literal accuracy.
