"binge watch" I guess it means watching a whole season of shows...like 20 to 26 at one sitting..but I am not sure..I have never done that.. yes..there are new terms and words.

1. Hashtag

10 years ago, we called it the pound sign.

It does not mean a body of water anymore. Just as to many people Apple (and blackberry for that matter) don't mean fruit.

3. great point....an old word, has picked up a "new meaning"

And that has happened over and over. just one old example..the word channel ..a river channel, but also a tv channel. We used to say that so and so was on Channel 5.

4. sext.. a very old word, but brand new meaning...and that is the meaning today.

sext-
send (someone) sexually explicit photographs or messages via mobile phone.
"older teens are more likely to engage in sexting than their younger counterparts"
