My pal was just so pleased with herself with the gift she dropped at my feet.

No animal was harmed during this event. The snake was humanely removed from the living area and returned to the wild.

shows such an overt and deeply caring display of love and concern for you? My poodle Betty was a crazy-good bird hunter and she dropped dead birds at my feet many times. Unfortunately, every single time I didn't see it before I put my foot down from the couch to stand up and stepped on it...EEEWWWW!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, but even with the ick factor, it's amazing to be the recipient of such an act. I will never understand people who don't view animals as sentient beings with souls and minds and hearts.

and not partially disemboweled, the way my cats liked to deliver presents. To their credit, they only brought me things that were unusual. One brought me a full sized squirrel. I was duly impressed, toed it off the porch when she wasn't looking.

and she was not a small cat. All I can think is that it was an old squirrel and suicidal. I had seen her jump from roof to roof along a line of triple deckers chasing them, so it was only a matter of time.

So I gave her abundant praise until she was ready to come in and I could remove the corpse.

Unfortunately, he brought them half mutilated.

More unfortunately, he liked to bring them to us on pride rock; otherwise known as our bed.

10. Yes, lizards are almost a weekly occurence once it gets warm. Some can be saved, some can't.

Have a lanai, the cat doesn't go outside the lanai, but somehow critters find their way in.

So many people lose control and attack them. Thank you for returning the little guy to the "wild."

my cat brought me a baby snake, unharmed

I walked to a creek and let it go, then had to deal with my cat the rest of the night, outraged that I had confiscated his toy
