Question for parents: Kids Thank You Cards

Do you make your kids send thank you notes for most gifts they receive? If so where do you buy them for kids? I am curious how big this market is as my younger sister who is an artist wants to do a line of kids thank you cards. Trying to help her out.

Any ideas or thoughts are welcome.

I don't even remember what we made our kids do lol. That was a while ago.

even when I was a kid I think I mostly made phone calls to thank people for gifts. I don't remember writing thank-you notes but then, I could have just been a brat.

But we always just used spiral notebook paper and then tucked it in a blank card. I would sometimes write a brief message in the card, depending on the recipient. Something to consider though is that younger kids do better with lines and smaller standard sized cards as they typically do not enjoy filling up a large space with tedious printing.

I have received thank you's from nieces and nephews, etc. and honestly never pay attention to the card itself unless it is homemade. I concentrate on what was personally written.

I know many of the traditional card stores, like Hallmark, have been disappearing from where I live in the suburbs.

any of my efforts to teach my children to send traditional thank you cards or notes. A text seems to be the preference. Or a facebook message.

Her art could easily be used for e-cards, if not traditional, though.

Seems a lot of sites will sell your cards electronically and take a %.

Thanks

It's good manners and it teaches empathy..

My middle daughter just picked a college and now, even at 17, she sent a note to the colleges that accepted her and offered financial aid. She thanked them for their consideration of her and said, even though she was going elsewhere, she would remember the role they played in the process.

Making thank you cards for kids K-12 sounds like ahoot. I hope she does it.

I don't know how popular it is though. Not many of his friends do.
