When I used to tour for fun around the folk scene in Germany in the 1970s and 1980s (played hooky from my day job, pissed of my top brass! LOL), our record producer said Donovan used to hang around Germany at the same time. I never ran into him, but all the Germans said he had developed a very serious alcohol problem which made him unhirable for concerts. I hope that if that was the case, that he has recovered, although I haven't heard of him touring here in central Europe since.

3. The hours I spent

listening and singing along with Donovan. Loved him then, still do. Had tickets to a concert he had to cancel once and to my knowledge he never came back this way.
