Dog uses Ghandi's peaceful non-violence in fight with Bengal cat

Nonviolence also has 'active' or 'activist' elements, in that believers accept the need for nonviolence as a means to achieve political and social change. Thus, for example, the Tolstoy and Gandhian non violence is a philosophy and strategy for social change that rejects the use of violence, but at the same time sees nonviolent action (also called civil resistance) as an alternative to passive acceptance of oppression or armed struggle against it. In general, advocates of an activist philosophy of nonviolence use diverse methods in their campaigns for social change, including critical forms of education and persuasion, mass noncooperation, civil disobedience, nonviolent direct action, and social, political, cultural and economic forms of intervention.

It looked to me like the cat either wanted to play and then got mad that the dog wouldn't respond, or that the cat wanted the dog to move so he could lay there (in the sun!). My cats are jerks like that, too. For some reason, I love them anyway.

and leave a desired sleeping spot. I saw one of my cats smack my other cat in exactly the same way to try to get him to leave the first cat's treasured heated cat bed. The cat is pulling his punches (not using claws), which is just what mine did. Whap, whap, whap! My sleeping cat reacted the same way as this dog; he was like, "Dude, go away. I'm trying to get some sleep here."

in the last seconds of the video, as he swats at the dog. It's a nervous reaction to the dog's immobility.

My cat's eventual reaction to the other cat's refusal to budge from his bed after being repeatedly swatted was to climb on top of him. Eventually the other cat got too warm and left, and Cat #1 got his bed back.

Incredibly patient, but capable of exhibiting boundless amounts of energy.

They are some of the most nurturing dogs you can find, and VERY intelligent.

When my wife brought home a stray cat she rescued from the nursing home where she worked, the cat was sitting on a chair and Dusty came up to sniff her. She hissed as furiously as she could. Dusty the Golden promptly gave her a set of Golden Licks: Full body, full length, fast and juicy. The cat got this sort of "That wasn't supposed go like that" expression on her face. After they got to know each other, they were lifelong friends.

I miss both of them greatly, both were wonderful fur babies.
