A Mother's Day Greeting I saw a day late

Of course, I'm not the mother, so it's a matter of secondary importance. I think my wife saw this yesterday. Our girls arranged for my wife to get a nice bouquet delivered to our house--no mean trick, seeing as how they were together (for a few hours) in New York City, and we are in Düsseldorf, Germany.

They posted this text with the (presumed) selfie photo below:

While we couldn't spend #mothersday with our mom today, we at least could unexpectedly spend it with each other ❤️ #happymothersday to our mom, godmother, grandma and the other mothers and mothers to be. You are miracle workers who deserve to be celebrated every day 😘🌺❤️

Though it may seem from the photo, taken yesterday, that we are guilty of child abandonment, our daughters are 34 and 32. The "little" one stopped off in New York City for a few hours on the way back to Germany from a wedding in South Carolina (one of her best American friends). I remember what it was like to fly across the Atlantic for some "special occasion" for two days and then fly right back. It wreaks havoc with your body clock. My daughters are as nuts (and as loyal) as I am. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Your daughters are not nuts! They are beautiful, accomplished and very loyal, and those are all qualities to be applauded.

You and your wife have raised them spectacularly well, and you have every right to be proud of the amazing women they have become.

THE Stan Lee!! We had lunch near his office the first time we met, and he wrote to me afterward to extol the virtues of my "fabulous females."

Note, of course, that he had NO such kind words for me! LOL
