My understanding is that it is picking up 30 years later. yardwork May 2017 #9

But i want to watch new series, will it continue from where the original was or will it be the same story over?

If it is the same story over then I guess I dont want you to tell me anything, if it is picking up where the old one stopped, what do I need to know?

Then again, if you watch the first two seasons, you are still going to be lost.

Also not at all interested in silent drape rods, etc.

However, when the show was good, it was incredibly good. I'm cautiously optimistic about the return.

David Lynch creates interesting moods and settings, sometimes not as concerned with rational plots. That turns off some people. But his moods and settings are so cool and interesting I don't mind the loss of rationality. Lynch says he is a painter who turned to film to make his paintings move. The Basquiat painting which just sold for $110 million dollars isn't completely realistic but it sure is pretty damned great. Same with Twin Peaks and other David Lynch creations.

Not necessarily because it was bad. Anyone care to give me a synopsis of what I need to know?

But I'm going to wait a few days before watching it. I'm going to watch it anyway, but I want to be prepared.

We added Showtime to our Hulu lineup for about $10 more a month. There are many other ways. Google it.

I would have expected that they would lead with the quirky townie/soap opera side of the show, to ease in new viewers, and to try and hook in the old viewers that liked Season 1 but not the darker and stranger Season 2.

Instead, full-on Lynch weirdness straight from the top. The first 2 episodes (all that I've seen at this point) barely even took place in Twin Peaks. I'm pretty intrigued, but my wife isn't sure about it so far.

I recorded it for a friend of mine while I watched as many as I could. I did not see the new one yet, recorded that one too, so my friend and I can watch it together.
