I knew he was sick with cancer, but I didn't realize he was terminal. He took part in a great show at the Ryman back in 2003 called "Nashville Sings Woody"...it was an awesome show with plenty of great names paying tribute to the legacy of Woddy Guthrie, which Jimmy always honored. His death is a big loss to Americana music.
