Daniel Inouye and "Sparky" Matsunaga. Great Nisei (Japanese American) soldiers.

Both were members of the 442 regiment of Japanese Americans soldiers in WWII.
Both became Democratic senators from Hawaii. Inouye lost his arm in the war.
I remember, as a kid, that Inouye had an ad that read Daniel In every way.
Great veterans and senators.

sitting in Kay's Barbershop in Kahului Shopping Center (Maui) when Dan Inouye walked in asked for my (and everyone else's) vote. I voted for him then and in every election after that until his death.
