I have six sprouted now, 5 are "mammoths" and one is some other variety. I never stake mine, but I did have one get blown over last year. Love watching them grow like 12 feet tall, fun plants.

We end up mowing them down. But, I do plant a bunch elsewhere, like along the back fence.
