...IMHO, BEST SUPER HERO MOVIE EVER!!!
In the interest of full disclosure, along with Captain America, Wonder Woman has been my favorite comic book hero(ine) since 1963. I am a life long super hero nerd and have been since before nerds were called nerds...yikes!
I've been looking forward to this movie ever since it was first announced and it freaking EXCEEDED my expectations.
My view of the DC universe has always been that Superman fights evil due to his virtue, Batman due to a lifelong seeking of vengeance for the murders of his parents, and Wonder Woman due to the fact that evil just simply but severely pisses her off. The movie captured that perfectly in my view. the extra few bucks for the 3D tickets was completely worth it. I get the geezer discount anyway!
Even my wife, who isn't a big super hero fan, loved the movie.
Do yourself a favor, go see Wonder Woman and enjoy yourself.
PEACE!

(10,237 posts)...but the 3D was totally worth the $12+ per ticket.
I may well go see it again, and I'm CERTAINLY going to get the blue ray when it comes out!

(4,660 posts)That must have been awesome. We saw it last night too, and loved it. However, the behavior of some very inconsiderate people in the theater prompted me to post this on my Facebook page later:
People cackling and whooping over the quiet dialogue at a movie, do not sit next to me or I WILL CUT YOU. With my most withering side-eye.

(10,237 posts)...it wasn't a problem for us last night. It HAS been so at other movies. I'm not nice to those people!

(39,343 posts)My daughter wants to see the powerful woman kick ass and I'd like to take her.
Is it any more graphic or inappropriate than say any of the original Star Wars movies or the Force Awakens? She was able to watch those and realize that they are just movies.

(10,952 posts)It has the violence that goes along with a movie set in an era of war but setting that aside there wasn't anything that was inappropriate. Gal Gadot is fabulous and I loved the way the film dealt with her reaction to entering the real world that is so different then the world she was raised in. It is definitely a movie that should inspire young girls.
The camera loves Gal Gadot. She reminds me of an actress that you might have seen from an older era, she has that spark.

(47,552 posts)She put ON a pair of glasses, and now I want to buy her stuff.
especially for a guy like me that has had a lifelong "thing" for the "girl in glasses" look. She definitely has the requisite screen presence and charisma needed for the role.

(77 posts)They were very careful to make it okay for kids. There is violence but it's not glorified at all. I think Jenkins must have shoved Snyder into a closet. You can tell he meddled with Heinberg's script but not enough to be scary.
Not Ruth
(3,613 posts)It is not that violent, but there are a lot of sexual references that a 7 year old might not get, but a 10 year old might.
Chris Pine's above average penis for instance.

(77 posts)I cried when I watched it! It was just such a great representation of the character's spirit and will.
It's definitely my favorite or very near my favorite superhero movie now.

(10,237 posts)...that is, with my geezer discount, we may just go see it again. I haven't seen a movie twice in the heaters in a LONG time!

(56,828 posts)and I turned 12 years old in 1978. I should have been right in Warner Brothers' target demographic for the movie. However, I hated that movie. I much preferred Superman 2, and 11 years later, the first Michael Keaton Batman movie.
That said, I do think WW is the best DC movie since Dark Knight with Heath Ledger.

(53,956 posts)There were 25 people in the first showing, and SIX in the 3D showing! Which, frankly, was fine by me. I wore my special Wonder Woman 3D glasses and LOVED IT! My husband was giggling at me because I kept "ducking" arrows and bullets!
Gal Gadot was SPECTACULAR! But, I also loved the other actors, and that little Diana, she was a HOOT! That actress could deliver her lines with precision.
Wonder Woman started my love affair with Greek Mythology ( I have statues of all the 12 Olympians throughout my home...oh, and check out my username!).

(54,770 posts)Super Woman is that the action is not so fast and jerky like Transformers, Captain America, etc. It was almost believable, and the fighting WWI Germans was a great choice.
The 3-D was great in Super Woman. I think the glasses were new technology and the video was super sharp and clear, unlike other 3-D movies I've seen. I am a big 3-D fan since the original Creature from the Black Lagoon.
It was a great experience.

(27,120 posts)Almost made me cry in a few spots.
Loved the "final showdown."
As compared to the final fight in Batman v. Superman, this one was much more emotional, and was a battle not just on the physical level, but on the emotional and spiritual level as well.
Beautifully done, start to finish.
