(34,189 posts)Ripple told the judge Tuesday that heart surgery left him depressed and unlike himself before he robbed the bank. He had no criminal record, was a good father to four step-children and was in a stable relationship with his wife.
Ripple's public defender said he has since been properly diagnosed, is on proper medication and feels like his normal self again, the Kansas City Star reports.

It's too bad that he did not get help before he went to such extremes.
