Delectables Bisque. They like the Chicken & Tuna flavors and it's the consistency of a thick soup. Neither of them like bits of things in their food. I split one packet per night for them. They also get Temptation Treats (Dental ones).

She doesn't like most people food and both times she had fancy squishy food she barfed almost immediately. She likes the bacon and liver treats I make the dog but her favorite is cereal. No milk, just the cereal. Her favorites are Cheerios and corn flakes.

I know, it sounds crazy, right? Green olives and their juice have a component that is similar to catnip... Google it. I think they are even more potent than catnip and a little goes a long way. They can smell it coming, and drives my kittehs absolutely bonkers!

That's what we supplemented our 23 year old cat's diet with when she was getting frail in the last couple years. She really, really loved the cheeseburger (just a small patty, with a quarter square of American cheese, then chopped up fine) but she'd eat a brick if you buttered it, and sardines were her personal heroin. Also buttermilk (which has very little lactose) and greek yogurt (which has almost none) and string cheese (no lactose), if we pulled off fine strings and let her play with them.

By then, we were happy as long as she was eating something, and as long as she was capable of eating, drinking and getting to the litter box, we were willing to continue kitty hospice as long as she was engaged and not in pain. She was never lactose intolerant, but we never gave any milk anyway. She was never very large (topped at 7.5 pounds) and was down below 4 at the end, but she pretty much beat feline kidney failure at age 19 thanks to stem cell research (she was a test subject.) It was a stroke that got her, after a very long, happy run.

We and her vets (especially her specialist vet) attribute her long life to good genes and us keeping to the kitty principle of obligate carnivore, with a reasonable amount of moisture in everything she ate. Spouse fed her kibble when she was a teenager (from 4 months until she was three) but she acquired a sibling who couldn't tolerate kibble, so she was on canned for most of her life. Kibble is really hard on cats; they're not equipped to process all the carbs.

sitting on railing of our 2nd floor patio. We had no idea what to entice him with, so my wife just put a bit of scrambled egg in a bowl for him. Next thing we see the male bird brings his babies with him and feeding them the scrambled egg!

Someone told me cardinals love sunflower seeds. So we began putting out seeds in a bird feeder. Then the whole family of cardinal bird began visiting the feeder many times every day. Next year, new babies were escorted by the parent birds to the feeder. This went on for many years we lived there.

Getting her to eat more than one serving of anything is a miracle. Lately, the only way I can coax her to eat the rest of her fancy cat food is to sprinkle grated parmesan and nutritional yeast flakes on top.

I found I like that combo on top of microwave popcorn so, yay!

Also the can Kirkland canned chicken breast comes in. I either use the broth or freeze it for those damn recipes that call for 1/2 cup of broth. By the way that Kirkland chicken is the bomb. I keep it on hand at all times for chicken salad, chicken soup, chicken enchiladas or any other recipe calling for cooked chicken breast. I make a thing we call Pantry Soup using Kirkland chicken with broth, a can of Ro-Tel, can of chicken broth, chile powder, cumin, Yucateca Green Habanero picante sauce, cilantro, a can of rinsed and drained black beans and a cup of frozen corn. Serves 4. Put it all together except for the corn and cilantro and when the flavors have combined well after about 20 minutes on simmer, add corn and cilantro and serve when corn is cooked through. Good with tortillas toasted in the oven or chips. It is very Weight Watchers Friendly too.

of course any form of beef is appreciated. Somehow she regards human leftovers as a prime treat. Maybe they are more flavorful, maybe she is just figuring if her humans eat it it must be special

since the heat of processing destroys taurine, an amino acid cats need in large quantity.

When I treated my own beasts, it was with raw chicken livers. It was always pretty hilarious, they'd crouch and growl at them for a good half hour before it dawned on them that what was in the dish was edible.
