She is a good companion. I rescued her back in 2010. Let's hope she makes it through this summer.
The air will be unhealthy for sensitive people in Rockland and Westchester and moderately polluted in Putnam, Dutchess, Orange and Ulster counties.

(7,768 posts)She runs around it...zoom...zoom...and then jumps in, jumps out to find her toys and bring them back to her pool!
I bought the biggest one I could fit in the back of my truck. It's about 2 feet deep and 5 feet in diameter.

(72,300 posts)She was a rescue. Whoever kicked her around before kicking her out did a number on her head. She'll keep on shedding and I'll continue to comb out the extra fur coat.

(72,300 posts)Yes, the town has a public pool ... in a nice sunny spot. I'll stay home in the shade breathing in the unhealthy air.

(18,864 posts)My border collies love this weather. Go figure.
I keep making them come in to cool off. They come in for about 5 minutes and then want to go out again. But my backyard is just completely in shade.
They also love to be outside when it is really, really cold.

(17,421 posts)When I mentioned "inside", he beat me to the door. He is a seven pound Pomeranian. Usually it takes some coaxing and even pulling on the lead to interrupt his never ending bird alert.
We are his third and forever home. He had significant behavior issues when we first took him home. It took time and some blood (ours), but he's good now. He's still nobody's lap dog.
