.....pie in the face at the end. At one point in his career I think Soupy Sales held the world's record for getting the most pies-in-the-face. Usually crusts filled with shaving cream, sometimes he'd get lucky and it would be whipped cream. But those didn't usually hold up under the hot TV lights.
And Pookie, the toy lion in the blonde wig, also a regular on the show. He'd blow a big kiss to the audience and yell, "divvy it out amongst you!" Ah....these were the people responsible for my misspent youth!
