3. Interesting year. I was in eighth grade.

Favorite songs of that year from then: Chantilly Lace, The Stroll, All I have to do is Dream, Peggy Sue, Yackety Yack, Bird Dog, etc etc.

It was huge the summer of 1958, in US and Europe.
I was doing the grand tour of Europe with my college roommate and "Volare" was blaring wherever we stopped, in whatever country.

21. Just saw this thread. And you've definitely picked the best 1958 had to offer.

These girls could really sing. And convey feeling. This isn't just a song about puppy love, the heartache is well brought out.
First time I heard it I was maybe six y.o. Haven't heard it in decades until I played it here but it survives the test of time.

The song was published in 1957, Perry Como recorded it late in the year & it was a hit in 1958.

Magic Moments, still a fun song.
