Answered the phone and it was one of those recorded messages (hate those!). The disembodied voice informed me, in rather sepulchral tones, that my Windows 10 registration had expired, and that I needed to immediately call . . .
That's when I hung up. Really rude of them to make it recorded. How am I supposed to mess with them when they do that?!
Sheesh.

(8,541 posts)... my T-Mobile tells me (of a phone call): "scam likely" or "nuisance likely" or "telemarketing". I'm new to a cell phone (this past June) so I find this all such fun!

(27,490 posts)Didn't even realize I could do it on my iPhone until a friend showed me how. Was getting up to 6 calls a day. Now...most days none, sometimes 1. So that led me to check out my land line. I have service through xfinity. Googled "how to block calls on xfinity land line". There it was, copy the # down, then get dial tone, hit *60 and follow instructions. Reduced land line nuisance calls almost to 0. Peace and quiet.
