had to buy a new pc for the hubby

And I am the one who must set it up. It's a Windows 10 and I can't even figure out how to turn it off. Mine has been a Windows 8.1

First question is about Windows Live Mail, which David prefers. Is Windows Live Essentials 2017 real? I though it only went up to 2012?

Thanks!

so I don't know about the mail. To turn if of, there is a little box in the far left bottom corner that is divided into 4 parts like the windows logo, but it's in black and white. Click that and a box will come up to turn it of with.

Is there a shut down there? When I right clicked it does show a shut down prompt.

Windows Live Essentials 2012 was the email program he's had and knows for 5 years. I need a safe download for that program. I click on links that only bring more links. It's very weird. And some are unfamiar sites.

My hubby suffers from early stages Alzheimer's. New patterns are difficult, if not impossible to hold on to. I will have to write down a check list.

Thanks again.

Got Windows Live Mail installed, but it wont sync with Yahoo/att because of suckiness of att.net. I can't find mail properties anymore. We have an old sbcglobal address. It was synched before this happened. Everything looks the same, but settings are not showing pop numbers.

Thanks for the link. I'm trying to stick with Firefox. And set up as best I can.

I miss gadgets. 😔
