a few wildfires post blizzard power outages, and tornadoes have come way too close.

Go pack a backpack or small bag with your irreplaceable valuables and necessities, please (and include a small first aid kit).

Because I travel, I have a large single bag/backpack packed at all times with about a week's worth of clothes and toiletries in my coat closet by the front door. But, I also have one of these fully packed with everything, including water filtration unit, essentials for my beloved doggy girl and a wind-up charging radio.

I think it may be time for ALL of us, no matter where we live, to look at how instantaneously prepared we are. Sometimes we get a warning, and sometimes we don't...

Good luck, KG and all those affected. My thoughts are with you.

You just removed the "Flock of Seagulls - I Ran" earworm I had from an earlier post (that I detest) with a MUCH better Talking Heads earworm.

Oh ... and stay safe!

(I get the feeling Florida is going to become one big Mudd Club)

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco
This ain't no fooling around
This is a Mudd Club; got heebeegeebees
I'll blend in with the crowd

Burned all my notebooks, what good are
Notebooks? They won't help me survive
My chest is aching, burns like a furnace
The burning keeps me alive
Try to stay healthy, physical fitness
Don't want to catch no disease
Try to be careful, don't take no chances
You better watch what you say

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco.
This ain't no Mudd Club, or C.B.G.B
I ain't got time for that now

C.B.G.B. is the club where the Heads got their start, in the Bowery.
As did many other on the New York punk/new wave scene.

CBGB was a New York City music club opened in 1973 by Hilly Kristal in Manhattan's East Village. The club was previously a biker bar and before that was a dive bar.[2] The letters CBGB were for Country, BlueGrass, and Blues, Kristal's original vision, yet CBGB soon became a famed venue of punk rock and new wave bands like the Ramones, Television, Patti Smith Group, Blondie, and Talking Heads. From the early 1980s onward, CBGB was known for hardcore punk.[3]
