I had no idea those events had happened. The footage in the train is priceless.
Sadly Woodstock gave the impression that these concerts could be "liberated" so they were crashed by non payers.

Robbie. Janis, Jerry, Weir and Danko. I laugh every time I see it. We seldom get to see people in that kind of fame be real, and nothing gets realer than that. I think that is the thing I love about the Dead, they were never afraid to be seen in real situations and tended to prank those that wanted them to be normal or shown in a unreal light.

12 guys up there totally committed to looking, acting and sounding like a 1950s street gang/ singing group. It's brilliant performance art!
