This is my dog's reaction to an animal chase scene on tv :)

My dog watches television. She becomes very interested and actively involved when she sees animals on the screen. This is her reaction to seeing an animal chase scene on a commercial

We had to stop watching Americas funniest videos cuz of the racket. He hears music to a commercial he knows that there is animals featured and goes nuts. One time there was an ad for something that had squirrels in it running across the screen, he chased them around to the back of the tv.
I have a friend whose dog does the same. We think it's because of HD tvs there are no scan lines like in the old cathode ray tvs. Those lines probably made the amimals hard to see for the dogs.

Just a theory, who knows?

My dog knows exactly what music goes to which commercial that has animals in it. She has memorized many many musical scores. That made me think that learning music seems to be easier for her than recognizing words & that maybe training her with music or sounds would be easier than using words.

I wanted to add she usually does not react to people on tv, but there was a murder re-enactment scene she saw where the man slapped a woman around and began stabbing her. It really upset my little dog. She was growling and showing her teeth at the tv and barking. She was very upset by it. I think she thought she was witnessing a bad man hurt a woman. I felt bad when I saw how much it upset her.

..every morning when I'm in the recliner. I usually have one hand free to type in 'funny dog videos' on the laptop. this distracts her enough so I can peel her teeth off me.
