Gallery: The Death of a Barn

Over the past year, amateur photographer Cathy Wilson made a series of images of a deteriorating barn, at 3800 N. 1400 E. in Buhl, capturing the structure in various natural lighting as it crumbled to the ground. By August 2015 it was a pile of rubble.

1. A reminder of how transient everything is.

Places I've worked - homes I lived in. Gone. Empty lot after empty lot.

One day we'll all only be some photos and a few memories - and one day after that...

2. It must have been quite a beaut in its day.

Stalls for horses and cows, a sheep fold and pig pen. Hay in the loft, grain bins. A tack room, a workshop, it must have been a busy place on the farm.

I have to get a tree in my yard cut down, shame.
