Band you would most like to see reunite in case, you know...they're right about Saturday

And none of this Lynyrd Skynyrd stuff where there is one surviving member left, or even worse, no surviving members left.

There's gotta be at least two or three members who actually played on the original songs. As an example, Ten Years After...without the late Alvin Lee, of course...is still performing, but it's the other three original members.

So if they're right, if we all cash in out chips on Saturday, who would you like to see reunite one more time?

Ritchie angered long-time vocalist Joe Lynn Turner by picking a new guy, but he claimed he did it because most people probably wanted to hear the Dio songs, and this guy came closer to it than Turner could have.

Got extremely mixed reviews, AND...believe it or not...there was a lot of grousing about the inclusion of Deep Purple songs. Blackmore said that, if he did it again, he'd do fewer of them. And he is actually planning on doing it again.

As it stands I prefer the cover bands now. Also many bands have lost two key members now. Beatles prior to the death of Harrison maybe. The Who before Entwistle died (I do know something calling itself Who is still touring) Plant does not have the vocal range so Led Zep is out.

The Police. REM Dire Straits Blind Faith

What's interesting here is that they are performing "Voodoo Chile"...Winwood, of course, played on the Hendrix original, but Gov't Mule also recorded it with Jack Cassidy, who...that's right...also played on the original.

Would love to see Cassidy AND Winwood on this.

Always wanted them to rock out one more time, but alas Grant just died.

But I will take a Dead Kennedy's reunion with Jello any day.

For some reason DU does not like umlauts in the subject line... that is supposed to read Hüsker Dü!

lives in Red Wing, MN. Used to own a restaurant, is in to wine.
Saw him (a picture on the album cover) in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

It's Greg Norton with the handlebar moustache.

I saw them at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Exact set list as on the "Captured Alive" album...it was that tour. Never have seen so much weed smoke in my LIFE. It was like Jack the Ripper's London. Farner had that chrome "mirror" guitar and when the spotlight hit it you had to make sure to turn your head or face permanent sight loss.

From what I gather, it may not ever happen, because Don Brewer and Mel Schacher pulled a "Here, just sign this" deal on him that resulted in a major screwing. I haven't checked on the band for a while. Last time I looked it was Max Carl and Bruce Kulick (from KISS) taking over the Farner spot. But GFR, for me, will never be GFR without Farner.

I recently plugged a few holes in my Uriah Heep collection. This was the song that I enjoyed most:

"Demons and Wizards" and "The Magician's Birthday" were the two that did it for me, way back when.

Cheesy live video at the 9:30 Club:

Better pictures, worse sound:

I was hoping to find a video from one night earlier, at the 8x10. No luck so far.

Since he left for the last time, following 2002's "Sharks," Vinnie Moore has logged 5 studio albums and one "double live" albums with the band, but he ain't Schenker. It's still Mogg on vocals...plus Paul Raymond and Andy Parker. Pete Way bailed after 2006's "Monkey Puzzle" over health issues...liver problems, as I recall.

My favorite from "Sharks"...

I know they are out touring now, but would love to see a full reunion with Jello, but I don't think that's ever happening.
