I suppose I had best add the tag before the deluge begins

I watch no NFL but based on comments here I think Tebow is no longer in the NFL? Some have compared Kaepernick's ability to Tebow's and IIRC said Tebow has been mustered out.

(64,988 posts)His stats support it, strongly. He's out because politics by a black guy are forbidden or something.
Tebow is out because he couldn't play none.

(62,406 posts)I am guessing if Tebow had an ounce of talent he would still be in the pros.
From what little I saw of Kaepernick, he was as good as a lot of QBs that are playing.
(I am not totally ignorant of football, just hate the pro game so don't follow it)

Second: you don't like NFL
So, guys getting a 4 year scholarship to state schools at 36k per year get their brains scrambled while the industry makes 9 billion a year, but the NFL is your issue?
I don't get that

(62,406 posts)grew up going to the games etc. - i know that mine is kind of a schizoid stance.
I used to watch all the pro sports and all the college. Now i pretty much watch big 10 games simply because of the rivalries and atmosphere I grew up in.
I have left religion behind, but a fall afternoon with college games is hard to give up.
And yes, I know the damage it does and the use of athletes as very low paid employees and schools who frequently skimp on their part of the bargain. I struggle with it within - seriously.
Got no idea what "Map is WAY better than the fraud!" means. Must be something in pro sports code, but I am sure you know much more about it than I do.
I have often wondered if some other sport could bring the color and the fun to a campus on a fall afternoon like American football. I don't think it would be soccer. Maybe Rugby?
Anyway - there was a day when I could go toe to toe with any sports fan, now it is pretty much Hurray for our local team. I am particularly really pissed about local governments giving sports businesses arenas and tax breaks etc.
