12. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7

and always get a notice if I have apps draining power with the option "fix now". It's part of the power saving app that came installed on the phone. I'm thinking what you're seeing probably came with an automatic update of one of your apps. Like a wellness app or whatever your phone has that tells you about the health of your phone, battery life, power saving mode...

You could go into "applications" or "running apps" and probably find it there. Or Google the message you're getting, Galaxy Note 4, and your carrier's name. You might find out something about it that way.

I've never worried about malware on any of my Galaxy phones. I've downloaded crap I didn't really want but never had a problem uninstalling.

5. Do you have ES File Explorer (file manager) on yr phone? possible fix

I'm getting the same messages. I think this may be a new 'feature' of ES File Explorer. Also your 'weekly usage analysis', '87% memory used - tap to boost' (just popped up for me), etc. I have been using Total Commander as my file manager instead. A little geeky, but it works really well ... and no 'extras'. I will likely delete ES File Explorer soon ... came pre-installed on my tablet.

Anyone else have the same thoughts?

(Android tablet, BTW.)

Just found this article ... scroll down to How To Fix False Android Notifications - Step by step instructions.

https://tehnoblog.org/fix-cpu-overheating-android-notification-es-file-explorer-spam-messages/

I just did this and the two recent notifications disappeared. I'll wait to see if it works long term.

This has been driving me nuts for months.

14. Folks are saying ES File Explorer 'behaves' like malware ...

Lots of folks ticked off about the new intrusiveness, popups, etc, pushing paid addons. I have not had it take over my lock screen yet, as described online. The developers don't seem to care.

Even with notifications off I may still delete it.

Thanks for your post ... it encouraged me to look into this a little further. I have been fuming about this for quite a while now!
