The Loneliest Road in America Hwy 50 in Nevada, First Stop Road Trip Day 7 Episode 13
In 1986, a Life Magazine writer declared Highway 50 from Ely to Carson City, Nevada as one of the most remote areas that he had ever driven and declared it to be “The Loneliest Road in America”. To prove that you actively traveled it you must have your guidebook stamped at designated validation stations for Highway 50, part of the route for the original Pony Express. This was a wonderful journey through history for us!
