(34,282 posts)It makes me angry to see these wonderful people that were abused, attacked, taken for granted for 8 yrs, people we now would give a LIMB to have back, but NO.
NO, people did what they did last November, and I cant talk about it, but I am fucking FURIOUS.

(27,825 posts)I share your anger - no doubt about it. I also realize that being away from that incredible and unrelenting stress will help them be around, even longer because I strongly suspect that their work, here, is not yet done.

(14,770 posts)Is there a minimum age rule for succession in the UK? I remember reading of countries literally having "boy kings".
Oh wait, some might say we now have a boy king! Boy plutocrat would be more accurate.

(21,121 posts)If, heaven forbid, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Prince William died at the same time, then Harry would serve as Regent until George was old enough to become King. If Elizabeth were to become incapacitated, then Charles would become a Prince Regent until she regained health or died.

(14,770 posts)Finally found a decent Wiki page on the topic. It's interesting but seems so foreign to us, just to maintain bloodline.
An novel observation from Wikipedia:
(snip)
The Coronation Chair constructed in 1296, with the Stone of Scone visible beneath the seat, has been used at the coronation of English and British monarchs for 700 years.

But Harry is really a nice guy, he has strong principles and never hesitate to fight for them.
