As an international community, we have just under 3 years to nullify the TPP. I'm a citizen living abroad. In NZ, we are quite upset about our politicians secretly signing the TPP, against the wishes of the people. Waitaingi Day, in NZ is a prominent national holiday celebrating the peace treaty signed between the European New Zealanders and the Maori Tribes. It's a big deal. I'm sending this post, that was on National News from a celebration at the Marae (Maori Community Gathering place where sacred and mundane meetings and celebrations happen.) The world is watching the American election. Our global economy, ecology, and well being are at stake. Please consider this news clip that reflects Kiwis values regarding the TPP. www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/tpp-protester-boldly-chucks-dildo-at-steven-joyce-waitangi A conservative in a conservative gov't, Hon Steven Joyce is Minister for Economic Development. Don't believe that the TPP is set in stone. We can still get rid of it! I would like to see this as an issue for activism on DU's platform, please.
