BIG ENDORSEMENT DAY: 4 “Warren wing” champs

xxxxxx,

Meet four more bold progressives who are running for Congress in 2016. Today we’re proud to endorse Pramila Jayapal, Lucy Flores, Mike Noland and Angie Craig.

These four candidates are campaigning on big ideas like expanding Social Security, debt-free college, a $15 minimum wage, and Wall Street reform. They want to bring their organizing ethos to Congress.

And they can win! They are running in Washington, Nevada, Illinois and Minnesota, in races where a progressive Democrat can (and should) win.

We’re helping raise money for their grassroots voter contact programs. Can you chip in $1 to each of them? These bold “Elizabeth Warren wing” candidates will make the progressive bloc in Congress even stronger.

Here is more information about Pramila, Lucy, Mike and Angie:

Pramila Jayapal (WA-07): The current congressman, Jim McDermott, is retiring from this district. He’s been a huge progressive champion, and we need to make sure someone just as wonderful takes his place. That’s Pramila! She’s a state senator who spent the last 25 years as a Seattle organizer and activist -- leading the charge for $15 minimum wage, founding an immigrant rights’ organization, and passing legislation to help rape survivors. Chip in $1 to help Pramila win.

Lucy Flores (NV-04): Lucy has an incredible story. Her childhood was tough, as she faced poverty, lost brothers to gang violence, and briefly dropped out of high school. But she turned her life around with the help of a social worker, and went on to earn a law degree and become one of the first Latino women ever elected to the Nevada state legislature. She also has an amazing record of passing 70% of her bills -- in a state with a Republican governor. Lucy is running to take on right-wing congressman Crescent Hardy in this Democratic-leaning district. [link:https://secure.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/39686|Chip in $1 to help Lucy win.
]
Mike Noland (IL-08): Mike is one of the most progressive members of the Illinois State Senate and a strong supporter of single-payer health care. Last year he passed legislation for pay equity for women, and he’s worked to pass public financing of elections. He’s also seen as a strong friend of labor. This district is strongly progressive, and should be represented by a candidate like Mike. His primary is just weeks away, so his race is very urgent. Chip in $1 to help Mike win.

Angie Craig (MN-02): Angie is new to running for political office. She’s committed to making debt-free college a top priority, and protecting unions and the right to organize. Angie will push for all trade deals -- new and old -- to be re-evaluated so they protect American workers, human rights, and the environment. A fun fact about Angie is that she and her wife are raising four teenage sons. The Republican congressman in this swing district just retired. Chip in $1 to help Angie win.

Senator Elizabeth Warren says, "When PCCC members donate millions in small-dollar donations and make millions of phone calls for progressive candidates, leaders in Washington take notice."

The Warren wing just keeps getting larger! Chip in $4 to Pramila, Lucy, Mike and Angie, and help build the bench of awesome Elizabeth Warren allies in Congress.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
