Confrontational politics.

Confrontational politics.

The whole concept of computer technology and the internet was interactional communication. You can reply to a video. Old technology such as Television and Radio, you could not reply. It was one way only. You saw and heard the broadcast but they couldn’t see or hear you. The closest you came was the print media. Letters to the editor. So propaganda went unchallenged.
Confrontational politics was first pioneered by the New Left in the 1960’s. When ever racist groups demonstrated, the New left countered-protested. It had an effect if done right. Acting like an angry mob turned normal people off. Non-Violent protest was the most effective. The lunch counter protests in the south during the Civil Rights era was very effective. The racists looked violent and evil while the Civil Rights protesters looked courageous and righteous. The optics didn’t look good for the segregationists.
Here we are in the post Trump era. There is still a lot of work to be done against the authoritarian right. Their propaganda must be counted. When ever they post a video, you do this…..
