Documenting Deliberate Sabotage (Voting in AZ)

Last edited Wed Mar 23, 2016, 10:30 AM - Edit history (1)

(TBF Note: Free and Fair voting in the United States of America? If you have been paying attention to the primary process you know that is not the case in this country in 2016.)

Something Is Going Seriously Wrong at Arizona Polls Today
Nathan Wellman | March 22, 2016

Arizona’s primaries aren’t even done yet, and there’s already legal action being taken as a result of incompetence or possibly even intentional sabotage.

Leaders from the Arizona branch of the Democratic Party have confirmed that its lawyers are officially making an inquiry after multiple Democratic voters showed up to the polls only to find that they were listed as independents, Republicans, or had no party affiliation at all.

Many voters wound up having to wait in line under the hot Arizona sun only to find that they were ineligible to vote for the candidates of their choice. To add insult to injury, the polling locations have been so poorly planned that many voters had to wait in line up to four hours before finding out that their information had been improperly filed.

Bernie's campaign trying to track the votes (as AZ deliberately sabotages the process): https://votetracker.berniesanders.com/report/AZ/

Many photos and also videos at the link documenting the sabotage:

of voting sabotage! This is going to happen in more and more places. We can thank the Republicans for their witch hunt on voter fraud!! The last time I went to the polls was in 2000! Ever since I have applied and received an absentee ballot to vote with. It's very easy. In this day and age of technology there is absolutely no excuse for the crap that is going on!!

in this group (socialist progressives) we discuss the maleficence of those who are in power and how they oppress others. The woman in charge of this particular act of voter sabotage/suppression is a republican. But I think we need to acknowledge that the media and certain prominent political candidates are complicit.

Bernie Sanders came out very forcefully against this suppression. I haven't heard any other presidential candidates calling for this to be investigated. I would like to thank the democratic mayor of Phoenix Greg Stanton for stepping up and asking DOJ to take a look.

or this one. If it works in her favor anything goes. And I was there when they were playing this game in the 90s.

The fact is that she needs those people in those lines and she is doing very little to win them over. When a problem arises like this one she at least has to voice her objection.

This is for her own good - the "they don't have any place else to go" in the GE is not working anymore. And "the lessor of two evils" is even an emptier promise.

I do not think that Hillary is personally doing this except maybe when Bill and his bullhorn show up to interrupt voting but I think that her supporters maybe getting carried away in some precincts. It is hurting her.

9. I was doing election integrity back in the 2000's elections ...
Wed Mar 23, 2016, 09:50 AM
Mar 2016

what we found:
1) When you vote at the polls with a regular ballot (not provisional), 100%
of the ballots were counted. Because if you spoiled your ballot, you could
immediately ask for another ballot.
Note: Does not mean it will be counted correctly, only that it will be counted.
2) When you vote absentee (or by mail), approximately 15% - 20% of the ballots
were not counted for one reason or another. In San Diego, it was 17%.
AND you'll never know if your ballot was uncounted!
Reasons for not counting:
- Forgot to sign the ballot
- Even if you signed it, the person checking the signature could say it didn't match.
- You were registered under a different name, then got married and never registered.
Note: This happened mostly to women who changed their name after marriage, then
changed their signature to match their new name, but not the same as the
registered name.
- Mailed or Received after the election date.
- Your ballot was spoiled so you checked the spoiled box on the envelope, but you never
received your new ballot in time to actually vote.
- Someone decided to check the spoiled box on your envelope along the way, without
your permission. (This would be election fraud, but it can happen if the spoiled box is
on the envelop where anyone can get at it. We pushed to have it placed inside the
envelope. Since I don't use absentee ballots, I don't know if this was accomplished).

For me, I'd rather go to the polls.

Also, one last note, it was rumored that when you applied for an absentee or mail-in ballot,
you would be immediately called for jury duty. Unproven of course, but the only time
I voted absentee, because I would actually be out of town on election day, I received a
jury duty notice within a couple of months. (Unscientific, of course).

It sounds like election fraud again. Make it hard to vote or impossible with long lines and inconvenient voting locations. Difficult to obtain voter ID credentials. Privatize the process so that individuals can change results of elections and we would never know for sure because there's no paper trail for recounts. Throwing people off of voter roles because their name is similar to a felon in another state (Florida under Jeb Bush). Electronic voting machines that won't let people vote for the person they choose, or privatized vote counting that gets diverted to another state, such as Ohio in 2012 when Karl Rove was so sure Romney was going to win. I knew Republicans were trying this B S, Democrats better not be doing it. We need to clean up our elections, many Jimmy Carter could help.

* Intentionally reducing the number of polling locations by over 60%.

Sorry to all you folks who changed your voter affiliation to be able to vote for Bernie in the 2016 primary only to find that the old list supplied by the party to the precincts did not reflect this change, your party affiliation will no doubt be processed in time for the GE.

I thought it was only when the state has a closed primary...But then I live in a state that doesn't require we register by party so I'm not entirely familiar with how it works.

Though the Democrats should worry that if Arizona gets by with election fraud now, it will get by with it in November. And in November it won't be done to help the Democratic establishment candidate.

even though those in Camp Weathervane call it "sore loser complex."
This is total suppression.
Notice that how, in AZ, the front runner won for both parties. It is only with large turnout, as is shown here, and other places, are things changed. Most of the folks who vote very early are poll workers, and insiders who know that things will be crowded, due to circumstances that have either been put in place by the powers that be, or recent events.
This has to be reported, and changed.

Another case of one of Dubya's legislations doing exactly the opposite of its title. In this case, it was the "Help Americans Vote Act."
AFAIC, this has not helped people vote, but helped the powers that be manipulate the vote.

The only people who use an electronic device to vote are people with disabilities which do not allow them to fill the regular ballot. They can go to a nearby place to use a tablet or one will be brought to them. The tablet allows any number of control methods including breath. Once the voter completes that ballot a printed version just like the regular ballot is produced, which is then cast like all the others. The tablet retains nothing. It creates a paper ballot.

Works like a charm.

Bernie Sanders is just as mad as his supporters about the Arizona primary election process, which is being widely regarded as a total fiasco.

“We got an email last night from a woman who was waiting in line for five hours to vote. For five hours to vote,” Bernie said incredulously today at a press conference in San Diego.

He said there was no excuse for a failure of this magnitude.

“Whatever the cause of that problem is, people in the United States of America should not have to wait five hours in order to vote. We do not know how many thousands of people who wanted to vote yesterday in Arizona did not vote. We don’t know if they wanted to vote for Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, whoever. We don’t know that.”

Don't get me wrong, I'll go vote, but I'm pretty sure that it is a useless waste of time. Ever since the 1% discovered back in 2000 that they could cook the election, Representative Democracy in the US has been a hoax. We allow elections where no one can examine the actual computer programs used to run electronic voting machines, where we can use a credit card at the local 7/11 gas pump and get a receipt showing what I bought, but it is 'too difficult' to give us a paper copy of who we voted for. And the guy who cheats is the guy who wins, so he/she has no incentive whatsoever to investigate voting irregularities.

Anyone can download a copy, run whatever mocks they want so they can watch it work in real-time. Uploads to the source server would be locked out so no changes, and locked out and tamper-proof for election day. It wouldn't be difficult to build, and by that I mean the coding students at your local community college could probably do it for a semester project. If it were open source, anyone can download it and look for problems...find one and you call in, report the problem and it gets fixed. Easy Peasy.

from your link:

county officials allocated one polling place for every 108,000 residents and said that Anglo communities had more polling sites per resident.

Voters waited in long lines to participate in Arizona's presidential preference election on Tuesday because of fewer polling sites this year in Maricopa County. County officials earlier this year said fewer sites would be more cost-effective while still accommodating projected voter turnout.

The Board of Supervisors approved reducing the number of polling sites in February on the advice of Purcell, even as the Republican and Democratic presidential primary races across the country were seeing large voter turnout. Despite that, Purcell said she still believed there would be more people voting by mail early than showing up at the polls.

Someone's head should roll. And that someone is Purcell. She needs to lose her job.

No mention in the article of the cases of switched party affiliation. So how many people had that happen to them?
