I feel like shit but the past two days have been cathartic. I feel like I should express more strongly my socialist leanings on DU because of what's been going on here. I have not yet let loose my rage (because in truth I am a radical socialist and can go pretty heated in my discussions, check my journal, somewhat nuanced that it is), but Starry has led the revolt against this anti-progressive latent ideology that is around these parts.

edit: props to MrScoprio who has also been really great the past few days, there may be others I'm not thinking of but I know I've been truly touched by a very small subset of DUers lately.

I'm not sure what I've done that is different than usual, but thank you for the vote of confidence.

I have also been touched by several DUers who are guiding lights. I don't feel like I've led any charge, really, at all. There are lots of brave people in the discussion, and I just try to be a good listener.

Had you not said "We can't really afford to stay out of it without contributing to the the problem via tacit consent" I feel I would've stayed out of it. I have not yet gone full on rage mode, but I feel like you made me give a shit again. I've been defending BLM in my last few dozen posts, not sure if it's obvious... just, I haven't even posted once a day in the past few weeks and suddenly I'm posting regularly on that topic.
