I was looking for information about an item I have
We got a photographer's birdie in a box of stuff years ago. I wanted to see if I could find a value. I came across this You Tube video of a restoration. The restored birdie is like ours, but ours is pat'd 1-13-23, so it isn't 140 years old. But the video is cool to watch. The guy used 3D printing to make a part that was missing, past meets present.

(37,172 posts)photography collectibles are always sellable. I do well with old box cameras.

(22,859 posts)and a collector in the group said it was worth $50-75 dollars. Nice to know. Also nice to know how it works. I thought it would be dry, because of being close to cameras, electrical equipment and so on, but the chirp is enhanced with water. After this holiday, I'm going to do a little cautious work on it and see if it'll work
