It embodies two of my favorite things about your work: you challenge yourself to paint complicated subjects and you notice and paint the beauty in everyday life.

That's one of the best things about being an artist--looking for beauty and subjects to paint. The world is a potential canvas. Also, I think it's important to challenge oneself, or you'll never grow!

It immediately made me think of open air gathering places with all the shrubbery and treetops and the floodlights on the colorful walls and plants. I also like the bright colors on the walls and the chairs. The fresh look of rain on everything adds to the inviting space. It makes me think the experience would be submersible experience of colors, light freshly scrubbed air. I can almost smell the rain! It’s really quite inviting and sensual to the senses!

Thanks!
