I like the sort of misty quality to it. Your composition is very good.

Now you’re making me want to go back to pencil drawing.

The eyes spoke to me first. I’m always in awe if people who can craw. You would laugh if I attempted that scene.

The contrast of the very dark charcoal with the warm cream color is very effective! It fleshes the drawing out very successfully and the contrast adds so much to the effect. Your drawing is not only very effective in your ability to capture the subjects in a warm embrace but it also enhances that warmth with your excellent addition of a warm hue on the faces of your subjects.

This works very well! You kind of broke the rules a bit here but it works very well. Very effectively. You combined elements that probably shouldn’t work together. The charcoal and graphite under drawing is pretty stark and a bit harsh and it probably gave a sense of austerity and darkness to the subject matter. Perhaps an overpowering feeling of young love trying to exist in a dark and austere world. But with the addition of the warm tone on the faces and flesh of the young lovers the effect is one of love and life and promise. It makes me think of The West Side Story but in a warm way. Your lovers are almost bursting with love’s potential! I love that! Potential to surmount all barriers. Potential of rising above obstacles and circumstances. Your drawing is excellent and it tells a story that each viewer can fill in for themselves, depending on their own emotional makeup.

I hope you keep doing this kind of transformative art because the viewers will be drawn in whether they want it or not if they only allow it. Very nice!
