Going sketching in Bar Harbor tomorrow. Debating on if I

want to wear a string sack while looking for something I like, or stick with a padded strap backpack. Going to try out the Pentalic sketchbook again. It felt really dry when I tried to paint Trixie. UPDATE: Tim's loaning me his running pack. 😍

2. Easier on good cold pressed cotton paper, that's for sure. Trying to force it on

hot pressed, which many of my journals are, is hard. CansonXL is a nice flowy paper for pulp, but it dries too fast.

break them if it works. Not everything I choose as a subject has a good composition, but I haven't been doing this long enough to be able to edit in my head or even on sketch paper to move things around to remove or add something to improve things. I am getting pretty good at playing with color, tho.
