I like the way you notice things in a scene in front of you that are interesting that most other people wouldn’t see. Who would think to do a painting of a floor in a lobby? Yet you noticed the interesting reflections and made a work of art from it.

I’m always noticing things like that, too.

I guess that's what makes us different from other people. The whole world's a canvas for us. We look at the world differently. I'm always framing what I see in my mind and try to figure out how I'd paint it.

5. I do that a lot, too, bif

The other day as I was sitting in the car waiting for Mr. Diamond to go into a business…. I noticed some really cool reflections in a puddle in the parking lot (it had just rained). I wish I had thought to snap a picture. I was thinking about how to compose it on a canvas. I guess our minds work a little differently!
