1. Nice feel with dramatic colors. Feels like I'm standing in that field, watching the sun.

Pastel is my favorite to work in, because of the rich, vibrant colors.

Do you look at photographs or are you lucky enough to be at these wonderfully scenic places?

Colors in some of the painting to make the colors that are used, really pop.

8. Yes, I have a thing against bright blue skies put with with bright autumn foliage.

I prefer gray skies with bright autumn foliage. The colors don't compete. It could be just a personal quirk cause I know blue sky and colorful leaves are said to comprise "a beautiful crisp autumn day", but as you say, the gray makes the colors "pop". It's also kind of atmospheric.
