Barry Humphries, Australian comedian and creator of Dame Edna Everage, dies aged 89

Don't know how many DU readers are fans of Dame Edna Everage, but i for one will miss 'her' irreverent comedy. This interview with K.D. Lang is one of my favorites -- love watching K.D. having such fun!

At Madame Tussad's at Darling Harbor in Sydney, there is a wax figure there of Dame Edna in all her glory. Nearby is the wax figure of Guy Pearce's Felicia from Priscilla:Queen of The Desert.

She was a gifted entertainer. And brave! She was popular, but a lot of the people wouldn't like it if she was walking down the street dressed that way.
