TCM Schedule for Monday January 21 - TCM Spotlight: SAG Lifetime Award to Dick Van Dyke

On Sunday, January 27, Dick Van Dyke will receive the Screen Actor's Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award, and TCM joins the celebration with a night of some of Van Dyke's films work (I for one would love to have seen THE COMIC included, but, oh well). Plus, Sidney Poitier takes the spotlight in daytime.

Watched this last night again.
Great movie
Great character actors
Two great elderly women character actresses in one film(two of them!)
and a terrible hair piece worn by DVD, but I assume that was on purpose.

wish they would do a similiar type remake, but make it on a town where guns are all banished off the streets for 30 days.
(anyone reading in from Hollywood, be my guest, steal the idea)


trivia note on another movie yesterday though I was not watching it
Blackboard jungle had the song "Rock around the clock" in it, and some give that
to be the start of the rock and roll era (though others put it a little further back date wise)
