Women Make Film: The Filmmakers
While looking something else up tonight I stumbled upon the full roster of women directors featured in the TCM series Women Make Film. And given that the posted schedules don't do justice to the individual directors, I wanted to post the link here for reference, enjoyment, edification, inspiration.
It's quite the list: Alice Guy-Blaché. Sarah Polley. Ida Lupino. Ava DuVernay. Mira Nair. And a host of others.
In some cases, the relevant films have already aired, but the wonders of technology should be able to help you out. Quite possibly your local library will have screening services that will allow you to see some of the selections.
