Classic Films
Related: About this forumAny pre-code film fans?
I love these films. Two of my favorites are "Baby Face" (1932) with Barbara Stanwyck and "Red Headed Woman" with Jean Harlow, but there's so many others that are great. There's a great website (that I have no connection with) called www.pre-code.com that lists and reviews films and also lists which ones are airing on TCM. The sexiness in some of those films in that era is both ironic and enjoyable.

(25,729 posts)coworkers got such a kick out of Barbara and her bootlegger boyfriend and the theme of "medical ethics".
It's a real hoot. Such bad acting and ridiculous medical practice even for the 1930s.

Babyface is my favorite but Norma Shearer is my queen of pre codes.

(7,964 posts)First time Weismuller played Tarzan. And I admit I kinda fell in love with Maureen O'Sullivan - with her naked (may have worn a body suit) dive into the lake a special memory.
Baby Face is also great, as was Stanwyck.

Or twice.
What's not to like? No graffiti in that world.
