Favorite composer to play

I think you and I have discussed this before. I did two of his piano pieces for recital back when (Preludes in G and C sharp minor).

One of the things that's great about his body of work is that there is such a flow to it. If you're a highly technical/mechanical player, you're not going to capture it as well someone who leans into what he's putting down on the page. There's so much room given to individual interpretation - you can almost create an entire mood out of each piece without ever altering a note.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
