Fabric! Two recommendations and One question.

Hi all! I've now taken on many more sewing projects than I can ever finish -- they only exist in my imagination, but I have all the patterns (most, not all, from https://www.Simplicity.com) and fabric! I found some lovely hand-printed cotton from India on eBay before the tariffs hit, but lightweight. So far accomplished some cute wrap pants for Sparkly Jr.

My review of two fabric shops online I can recommend - and one of you probably recommended these to me (thank you)!

- Fabric Mart: (https://fabricmartfabrics.com/) - They have frequent sales on one category or another. I placed an order for several lengths when they had a special few hours of low or no shipping fees (I hate paying shipping fees if I can avoid them) otherwise it's about $10 flat - plus great sales! The fabric is superb quality, and I appreciate that they add a little sticker to each piece with description, length/width, and washing/cleaning instructions! (All the things I'd forget when I got home from a fabric store!!)

- Fabric Depot: (https://fabricdepot.com/) - They have a huge selection as well, and they're probably busy because they can and do run out. I envision making a coat, and as my cart began to run high, I decided to go on up to the minimum for free shipping ($99 - don't tell Stinky the Clown!). Just two disappointments here: first, some of the fabrics that were categorized as "suiting" seems much more like upholstery fabrics or something for pillow covers; and second, my order had to be split into two shipments and they were a little dodgy about a long delay in the second one. ("The postal service has it; they picked it up." "It looks like they didn't." "They did." "When, so I can put a trace on it?" "Oh! They finally came and picked it up today." Huh??)

And a question about right side/wrong side: I guess rule of thumb is 'if you can't tell, no-one else can either,' but is there ANYthing important, or are there any clues, about which is right/wrong in something like a solid broadcloth? Sometimes I can tell by the weave (knit/perl, sort of) and sometimes by something in the selvages... other times, no clue! In this case, I see perforations as though pins or needles went through the selvages, and I can guess which side they went into. Does it matter? Thanks in advance!!!
