Other stuff:

Allan playing SynthAxe

Allan playing with Zappa

Steve Vai talks about meeting Allan

Whew (!) Well it's obviously not complete, however I feel I have given the reader/listener
a good grounding in Allan's eclectic recordings over the span of his career. As a semi-pro guitarist
of 60+ years I still revere his work. I did get to see him play twice. The 2nd time was in 2008;
got to shake his hand and thank him for the soundtrack of my life...he had BIG hands, I still can't
play some of his damn chords! unfortunately I had spent my last pennies (I did say I was a musician didn't I?)
for gas to get to the concert so I couldn't invite him to a pub for an ale

Maybe if Allan had moved to Europe he could have found his audience like the jazz horn players of the 50's
and black blues guitarists of the 60's (think Buddy Guy! "Stone Free&quot

Enjoy!

He sorta faked it pretty well for a few measures but then had to break character. Rock just wasn't in his nature!
