Ive just today started exploring the Super Deluxe edition of the White Album and this is my favorite so far.

Plus the demo version of "Sour Milk Sea."
What an amazing album. One for the ages.

(5,393 posts)the extended version of Revolution #9, and was horrified at the thought!
It does get a little 9ish at the end, though.
I love that you can hear them having fun when we had all been lead to believe, for years, that recording the White Album (and Abbey Road) was a fraught, individually isolated, and angry time for the band. Im sure it wasnt all giggles and silly voices, but from these takes and what was in Get Back, it was a whole lot happier and collaborative than I had thought. That makes me happy.

(9,103 posts)but I think Revolution 9 is actually pretty amazing. I've even heard a cover version of it, done by choir and orchestra.
As you probably know, the last five minutes of the long version of Revolution 1 (which I think is take 10) became the basic track for Revolution 9.
I also love "You Know My Name, Look Up the Number" and lots of the stuff on the Beatles Christmas album, which let's you know how bizarre my taste in music can be. It's too bad Apple hasn't released the Christmas album commercially.
Here's a sample, their Christmas message from 1965, but my favorite is 1967's, difficult to find on-line. Check out Lennon's parody of "Eve of Destruction"--a big hit that year.
Jackson's "The Beatles Get Back" was a real eye opener as to the relationships in the band during that time. A complete re-write of that history.
Best wishes!
