Making a Friday night playlist on my lunch break

Robin kicked off the 80s with a classic hard rock record that included this scorcher

When I saw Robin at the Stanley these guys opened for him and they killed, remember Shooting Star?

While I was stationed in Tokyo I saw a few shows, including Stevie at the Ubi Chokin Hall supporting his 1st record. A record which included this absolute masterpiece. Other SRV songs get more airtime but this is unmatched. "Dirty Pool"

Saw Wilko Johnson at Shubuya Live Inn, still the best rock show I've seen at a bar

When my wife an dI 1st saw Danielle Nicole, she was playing with her brothers in Trampled Under Foot

She's touring as the Daniele Nicole Band now

Paramount Theatre, Denver.

Shooting Star were very rudely booed off the stage by rowdy, impatient Trower fans. The band flipped birds and stalked off after a couple songs.

Bill Lordan's parents attended.

If I recall, no guarentee on that, they played "Satisfaction" from the Stones and one of their album tracks I've never heard on the radio

I don't think they had an encore playlist set up before hand

I'm glad I got to hear the late great James Dewar sing live. The opening act was Black Oak Arkansas.

The last Trower album I bought was a cassettte of Take What You Need with Davie Pattison on vocals. I'll post a few from that album later.

Dirty Pool is one of my favorites from Texas Flood. I saw SRV at the Syria Mosque in 1986.
