I'll probably never post another song from this guy. I think he's vastly overrated for one and I think hes just........ despicable. Having said that man do I love this song.

1. Fun Fact About This Song

That hook riff of the song drove guitar players nuts for years.
No matter where on the neck they played it, no matter how they set their amps, they couldn't get it to sound like the record. And, the part isn't hard.
Why?
Because Delaney Bramlett had Clapton play the chords on three tracks, one note of the chord per track.
So while it's still a chord, there is no phase interaction between the strings which would happen on one guitar.
It's a part easily played, but 3 strings on one guitar sound nothing like single notes on 3 different guitars.
I can still separate his "despicableness" from the music.
And, I don't think he's overrated. He was a game changer on at least 3 occasions.
He's one of sine qua nons of rock guitar.
