Trying to remember a song...

I don't have a ton to go on, but it's pretty recent so maybe someone can help out.

It would have come out in the 2005 to 2007 era. A rock song, very garage sounding, with a staccato vocal delivery, kind of like My Generation. There would be a part where the singer was singing by himself, then the band would kick in, stop, and the singer would sing the next line. I recall that the video had the band in front of a red backdrop (like Roxanne), and the song was used in several commercials.

Anyone have any ideas?

I just started listening to a band called Locksley, and was trying to describe their sound to someone and this song came to mind, although Locksley is a bit smoother/pop-ier.
